Everything is more or less set for the time being…that is until the big brother HAF932 shows up to house the party!
More Asus Fanboyism

Since my last computer was a laptop of sorts, It has actually been about 6 years since I’ve extensively sat behind a monitor, and back then 17″ 1440×900 was the thing everyone had, and if they were loaded they might have been running dual screens on their $4000 machines.
I went and picked up, most likely to my biased preferences, a 21.5″ LCD monitor from Asus (MH226H featured in the picture) from Tiger Direct at Kennedy (which on a note, no longer offers cash discounts). Yes, the 1080p spec caught my attention. More importantly this line of slim ergonomic monitors is what really made me choose this over the Samsung and LG that I had also scouted out.

If you look carefully, you’ll notice that this monitor ditches the conventional T-stand that you see in most monitors and opts for a more ergonomic circle to both support and adjust the monitor’s position. Does it look ridiculous in the picture? I thought so. Does it feel steady in real life? Indeed it does!
Since my computer isn’t actually up and running, I took the opportunity to run my PS3 through it just to check if everything was in order. To put things into perspective, this thing feels like the smaller brother of my LCD TV at home (which measures at 46″). Unfortunately my PS3 was still set to 5.1 audio, which completely threw things off when the audio was being passed to 2.0 speakers, and thus I did not do anything extensively on the PS3 except return it to the TV.
Now all I need to do is to play some of my Steam games on it to see what it’s like.
In My Haste
I bought the cheapest NIC I could find on ncix, knowing there was a high possibility I wouldn’t actually need it once my room went through some redecorating, as I have a live feed going into my room. Since it was backordered+express shipped, I’ve discovered two fancypants things about it:
1) XLink Xai
2) Software AP
XLink Xai I have heard of, but have never bothered using to any useful extent since I don’t have any hardware that truly utilizes it (except the PSP, but I play GoW on that). The latter comes at a surprise. Perhaps it has been longer than I’ve come to speculate, but since when do NICs have software APs built in?!

Jace, Copper and Eclair
Now that my situation has been more or less resolved, I am now in high hopes that my record will be officially amended prior to assessment by the University of Toronto graduating unit, or else I may end up being delayed until the next convocation. On the other hand I most definitely do not have to take another course to fulfill my credit requirements.
Recently I’ve been looking at the new set for MTG and have noticed just how playable PW Control can be on competitive T2, but it is by far the most expensive deck one can play, with the new Jace coming in at a whopping $75 a pop. Is it worth building? Only if you’re strapped on cash like tomorrow is 2012 the movie. Looks like I’ll be falling back to mono-black vamps as a developing if I’m going to play at any constructed tournaments in the near future.
Copper Ladder
In case you didn’t know, that would be the lowest ladder available in the SC2 beta. COPPER.
Starcraft 2
If you have time to read my post, you definitely have time to go pre-order Starcraft 2. For my Canadian friends, you can get a beta access key if you pre-order from places like amazon.ca or futureshop.ca soon!
Day 28
Its been a full 28 days since I’ve started to use the phone and one of the things I’ve noticed is Roger’s HSDPA availability could be a lot more stable then it is right now. Regardless of the locations I have been to I am usually swapped various times between HSDPA and 3G.
On the other hand it should be said that the 3G service is available sufficiently enough. So far I have only discovered one location where I’m dropped down to an EDGE connection. Coincidentally that was the first time I had ever seen that symbol!
Puzzles #1
A while back, I swore to myself that if I had anymore rather detailed-specific vivid dreams that I could recall, I would keep note of them in detail. Here’s the one I had yesterday.
Yesterday’s dream featured myself and another female individual. Do I know this female individual? Not at all. But from identifiable characteristics obvious between a male and female, I could deduce that she was in fact female. This unknown female was shorter than me in height, and of rather delightful personality. We decided that a walk outdoors would be appropriate, but for some reason we were anticipating it to rain outside. We headed down my street (like the actual street I live on, strangely enough). I then proceeded to grab a rather large umbrella whereas she had chosen a smaller one. During our walk, it did in fact begin to rain, the unknown female’s umbrella was insufficient at shielding her from the rain, but my apparently over-sized umbrella was. Eventually the sun would come out. Conversations occurred between the unknown female and myself but it wasn’t clear what we had said. The sun eventually came back out.
So, with that in mind:
1) Who is this strange unidentifiable female? A friend, A significant other, or perhaps a family member of some other sort? (I have a daughter WUT?)
2) What’s the deal with the umbrellas? Who takes two umbrellas out to travel between two people?!
3) Why did I recognize not only the street I was on, but the direction I was travelling?!
WELP.
